Revival

I've been DYING to write here. Been listening to a lot of diverse music over the last month.... I'll just write about the one that inspired me to write.

Michael Jackson's 'Dangerous' - You better believe it! I was reading the Rolling Stone this morning and while leafing through the 40 most important songs, I came across MJ's Billie Jean and all of a sudden I could hear the mellifluous beats of "Who is it" through my head. It was time to resurrect a classic no? Listening to the album now - brings a wave of memories from childhood. Love love love Michael Jackson. Fuck the hype!

Other stuff:-
-Arcade Fire's new album
-Lucky Ali's 'Sifar', 'Aks', 'Sunoh'
-Timbaland's 'Shock Value'
-Justin Timberlake's new album
-U2's 'Pop'
-Led Zeppelin's 'Presence'
-Nirvana's 'Smells like Teen Spirit'
-Corinne Bailey Rae's new album
-Coldplay's 'X&Y'
-Norah Jones's second album
-Karsh Kale's 'Broken English'
-The Strokes's first album
-Devdas OST

Music of late...

In this gloomy new york winter, music has more functions than just enjoyment. It's my escape from the blues, the gloom that cascades into my mind.

- Garden State OST
- MotorCycle Diaries OST
- Corrine Bailey Rae's self titled album
- Romanza by Andrea Bocelli

Lettting go

Song of the day...

"Let Go"

drink up baby down
Are you in or are you out?
Leave your things behind
'Cause it's all going off without you
Excuse me too busy you're writing your tragedy
These mishaps
You bubble-wrap
When you've no idea what you're like

[Chorus:]
So, let go,let go
Jump in
Oh well, what you waiting for?
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
So, let go, l-let go
Just get in
Oh, it's so amazing here
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

It gains the more it gives
And then it rises with the fall
So hand me that remote
Can't you see that all that stuff's a sideshow?
Such boundless pleasure
We've no time for later
Now you can't await
your own arrival
you've twenty seconds to comply

[Chorus:]
So, let go, so let go
Jump in
Oh well, what you waiting for?
It's alright
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
So, let go, yeah let go
Just get in
Oh, it's so amazing here
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

[Background sounds]

[Chorus:]
So, let go, so let go
Jump in
Oh well, what you waiting for?
It's alright
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
So, let go, yeah let go
Just get in
Oh, it's so amazing here
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

In the breakdown
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
The breakdown

So amazing here
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

My Love

I love this song so much....especially the one line in Bold. Good listen.

If I wrote you a symphony
Just to say how much you mean to me

{what would you do}

If I told you you were beautiful
Would you page me on the regular

{tell me would you}

Well baby I've been around the world
But I aint seen myself another girl

{like you}

This ring here represents my heart
But there is just one thing I need from you

{saying I do}

Because, I can see us holding hands
walking on the beach our toes in the sand
I can see us in the country side sitting
in the grass laying side by side
You can be my baby
Gonna make you my lady
Girl you amaze me
Aint gotta do nothin crazy
See all I want you
to do is be my love

My love
My love

And I know no woman that could take your spot

.....

We might as well be Strangers

It's strange how quickly relationships change...

I don't know your face no more
Or feel your touch
that I adore
I don't know your face no more
It's just a place I'm
looking for
We might as well be strangers in another town
We might as
well be living in a different world
We might as well
We might as well
We might as well

I don't know your thoughts these days
We're
strangers in an empty space
I don't understand your heart
It's easier to
be apart

We might as well be strangers in another town
We might as
well be living in a another time
We might as well
We might as well
We might as well be strangers
Be strangers
For all I know of you now
For all I know of you now
For all I know of you now
For all I
know

Machine Guns and Jesus Christ

The first video by my friend Courtney's band A Sheep At The Wheel. It's awesome...CHECK IT OUT!!!! :-) Way to go guys....

Black Hole Sun

One of my all time favorite songs is - "Black hole sun" by SoundGarden. This song was my introduction to rock-ish music back when I was a teenager glued to MTV. The video, the energy and the passion all are still fresh in my mind.

I recently heard a great acoustic version of the song by Chris Cornell. It was great to hear his heartfelt and bold attempt. Check it out on Launch.Yahoo.Com!

In the original...the opening verse...when the guitar riff comes in...is just....spine chillingly good.

"Wont you come?"
